If you’re having any kind of event and you want to make it extra special, then you need Louie's Suitcase Sideshow! As most event or party organisers already know, it can be a challenge to keep children entertained, especially if there's a broad range of ages in attendance. At many events that challenge is barely met, with most events only offering cartoon mascots, face-painting or bouncy castles but is this really how lasting memories are made? Does this make an event stand out or create an opportunity for kids to bond with other children or their own family?

Quality, engaging children’s entertainment does all of this and Louie travels all over Northern Ireland and the R.O.I. creating that at every single show. He loves to make children laugh, in fact he loves making everyone laugh, it’s a great way to bring people together and it’s through these shared experiences that special memories are made that last a lifetime.

about Louie

Originally from Cardiff, Louie (aka Nick Lewis) first realized his calling when as a small child he put a cushion cover over his head and everyone* started laughing (*His brother). He spent his school years studying very hard to ‘be funny’ gaining a C in metalwork. After a few years of acting in low/no budget short films, a stop-frame animation, various theatre roles, a short spell as a podium dancer at the Hacienda, a wizard and as a live statue in the front window of a wedding dress shop, he naturally decided to get qualified as a photographer. Eventually recognising that photography may not be his calling he went on to study Theatre and Drama at Goldsmiths College (University of London). Since that time he has developed the ‘Louie’ character and his ‘Suitcase Sideshow’ performing everywhere from theatre spaces such as the Millennium Theatre to the changing rooms of Carickcruppin F.C. Apart from performing as Louie you can see/hear him pop up in TV shows such as Game of Thrones and The Fall, in short films (most notably a dog fouling awareness film that was seen over 300,000 times in under 2 days!) and on BBC Radio Ulster as a clown consultant. Louie has been DBS vetted (enhanced police check), received Child Protection Training, has full Public Liability Insurance (up to 10 Million pounds) and is a member of the performers union Equity. Apart from having two of his own children and once being a hyperactive kid himself Louie has gained invaluable insights and experience working with children as a youth worker, after-school drama teacher, youth club leader and toilet paper salesman.
